Reviews roundup! #IrisHG

A huge thanks to everybody who has already come down to the grounds of St. Paul’s Church (now transformed into an enchanted forest) to see and share thoughts on our latest outdoor family production of Hansel & Gretel! Not only do we have some lovely reviews to share with you, but we are also delighted to announce our original show has been Offie-nominated for Best Production for Young People (Aged 8+).

Hansel & Gretel runs until the 3rd September, tickets can be booked on our website.

A particular and deserved shout-out goes out to Aaron Coren, who at Age 4.5 remains our youngest reviewer to date…

“Everything about this immersive production was fun, magical, thought provoking & inventive…engrossing for all ages throughout the whole performance.” – ★★★★★ Plays To See

“Daniel Winder’s fun and compelling adaptation of this terrific fairy tale gets a wonderfully magical treatment from director Amy Draper, with gusto performances from a fine cast.” – ★★★★★ Act Drop

“I loved it! It’s the best Iris Theatre production so far…Beautiful puppets, clever costumes and Amber Scarlett‘s truly magical sets – the gingerbread house is every child’s dream.”” – ★★★★ West End Wilma

“Enchantingly performed…The stand out turn is arguably that of Josie Brightwell as the gingerbread Baba, although Nick Howard-Brown, who plays the children’s useless woodman father, creates a spectacularly mean Koschel in the closing scene.” – ★★★★ Reviewsgate
